whatisa.net is a free dictionary for general reference. You may use it for any lawful purpose. Please do not overload the site with automated requests or try to disrupt it.

2. Definition text and licence

The definitions are adapted from English Wiktionary and are available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-SA 4.0). You may copy, adapt and share them, including commercially, as long as you:

• give credit, for example: “Definition adapted from Wiktionary (via whatisa.net), CC BY-SA 4.0”, with a link to the Wiktionary entry or to the licence;
• indicate if you changed the text; and
• share your adapted text under the same licence.

The site’s own design and code are not covered by that licence.

3. No guarantee of accuracy

Definitions were extracted automatically and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. They are not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. The site is provided “as is”, without warranties, and to the extent permitted by law whatisa.net is not liable for any loss arising from its use.

Pages link to Wiktionary and other external sites, which have their own terms and privacy policies.
